Automation Cookbook: Coding Recipes for Tests
While quarantined, two of the things that have made me happy are cooking and coding. I’ve realized that the algorithms I use for solving many of the challenging automation tasks we face in test automation are simply recipes!
For the next couple of months, I’ll be live streaming every Wednesday at 12:00 PM PST. In each session, I’ll take a specific automation challenge and come up with a recipe for solving it.
You can tune in on YouTube, Twitch, or Twitter/Periscope.
If you didn't catch this today, check the recording and tune it next week. If for no other reason than because @techgirl1908 is hilarious. Good live automation coding beyond hello world and the pristine tag/id text box. Good stuff that is actually real-world useful! https://t.co/x5VyV2oXp7

You were awesome and I can't tell how much I appreciate this kind of real, unpolished content.
It's so encouraging to see even the best and most experienced don't get everything right immediately, that they have typos and struggle with that date mess!— Samuel Nitsche (He/Him) @ home (@Der_Pesse) April 22, 2020
Live interactive rest automation with Angie, my Wednesday evening was fantastic!! https://t.co/5tQY5sloc0

You smashed it Angie! It was a great to see an expert like you do your thing and involve all of us in it! It was a honour to rustle up some date picker test on the automation kitchen and can’t wait till for the next recipe!

I never knew learning a simple scheduling calendar was so detailed. I have a newfound respect for developers. @techgirl1908 was a great teacher, poised in her level of engaging the audience, humble and didn’t talk “at” us but “with” us, and mixed in ACTUAL personality. #goat https://t.co/3uM38cdcOp
